About

10 years of trying to find the perfect plane and trying to learn the most daring maneuvers had left me frustrated, bored, and PLANE POOR.  Still, when I first watched a Pizza Box Flyer (PBF) fly I just had to try one.  They certainly looked simple enough to build and really a blast to fly.  I grabbed the first sign off the street that I was bold enough to take and went to work that night.  A few days later, after a trip to Home Depot, some time searching thru my misc. parts boxes and a little creative rigging, I was ready to give it a try.  After a few props and exciting moments I could actually keep it in the air and almost get it where I wanted it to be.  Turns out my stolen sign was only 18x24 (as most are), not the 24x24 size a little research convinced me I should have used.  To make a long story short, about 20 tries later and many trips to collect the right parts, I still haven’t found the perfect airplane, but I have found the one that is the most fun I have ever had.  This plane will do some truly amazing things and when you make a mistake it is not a tragedy but a comedy.

Because of the fun I was having and the potential I saw to save fellow modelers lots of time, I decided to try and build an ARF version of my PBF and share it with others.  The CoolPlane PBF has been a hit at my local field and I hope you will try one and have as much fun with it as I have had.
